Grand Opening in Needham
Needham, MA -- July 3, 2007 -- Ballroom dancing has become very popular in the past couple of years. With televisions shows such as “Dancing with the Stars” and “So You Think You Can Dance”, more and more people are getting involved in ballroom dancing. To meet the demand, one local studio, Studio 665 of Woburn, is expanding and opening a new location in Needham. The new studio will be called Studio 665 of Needham.
Mark and Dawna Nocera, the owners of Studio 665, are pleased to announce Studio 665 of Needham. Says Mark Nocera, “We have more and more students coming to our Woburn location every week. We have been operating Studio 665 for more than 20 years and we are excited to bring our level of professional dance instruction to the Needham area.” Studio 665 of Needham is located at 69 Wexford Street and will be staffed by Mark and Dawna Nocera, who were the second-ranked 10-Dance couple in the U.S., and represented the U.S. at the World Professional Championships. They are currently coaches with many Pro-Am students, amateur couples, and the Tufts University DanceSport Team. In addition, they are world-class adjudicators.
The other staff members at Studio 665 of Needham include Tatiana Obeso, Francis Ford, and Natalie Mavor. Obeso is a native of Peru where she performed with Peru's National Ballet. She has also danced with other dance companies, including the Boston Ballet and the Northern Ballet Theater. At Studio 665, Tatiana teaches ballroom and Latin dance as well as ballet, jazz, pilates, and Cardio Salsa. Floyd has been dancing since 1990 and has been teaching ballroom and Latin since 1993. He has enjoyed competitive success as an amateur and as a professional dancer both in the United States and Canada. Mavor has held titles as U.S. Amateur Latin Champion as well as U.S. Amateur 10-Dance Champion and represented the U.S. at six World Amateur Championships. She has performed worldwide, coached actors for dance performances in film, and danced in film as well as on stage.
Studio 665 of Norwood is holding their grand opening on Saturday July 7th and everyone is welcome. There will be open houses on Saturday July 7th from 11AM to 3PM, Sunday July 8th from 2PM to 4PM, Wednesday July 11th from 6PM to 8PM, Saturday July 14th from 10AM to 12PM, and Sunday July 15th from 12PM to 3PM.
